STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD
Good News - God loves you
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,” Ephesians 2:4
Bad News - Man is sinful and separated from God
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death;” Romans 6:23
“This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:14-15
Good News - God loves you so much He sent His Son to die for your sins
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Will You Trust Jesus?
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe with your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. “ Romans 10: 9-10
We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we receive by faith the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is Believe you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins and rose again. Then simply and sincerely Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and invite Him to be your Savior. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you.
Here is how YOU can receive Christ
1. Admit your need. (I am a sinner.)
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
4. Receive by praying a prayer like this: “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that You raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”
John 1:12
